Recession Survival Guide

My son shared a Halloween joke with me, and I thought to share it with you...

What does the recession have to do with Halloween? They are both scary!

I hope this made you at least smile. Isn't it wonderful how kids are so innocent about financial struggles? No wonder they sleep so soundly at night!

And you? Do you sleep at night or spend hours thinking and worrying about the financial downturn? Do you fear turning the TV set on and hearing -yet again- gloomy news about the worldwide economy and the recession?

An interesting fact about this so called "recession" is that most everybody doesn't know they are in one until it is well underway. This means that we've been living in a recession for quite some time now. We just learned about it recently...

Yes, it doesn't happen "all of a sudden" just like an accident would. It builds up as wrong decisions and negligence from a variety of sectors occur. It is the result of multiple factors over time, and just like a domino effect, it all starts collapsing creating a meltdown.

You may be wondering why we don't hear about this from start. While I must admit I'm no economist, I've heard that determining a recession requires careful examination of several indicators, which is why this is more of an art than science.

On top of this, every economist has a different viewpoint according to their knowledge, experience and even their individual intuition and belief system, which makes it almost impossible for them to agree on. This is why they must wait months for data to prove itself.

By that time -you guessed it- we are already in recession
.

The news start hitting us badly and then we worry, we don't sleep, we're anxious, and -if we don't get a handle on this- we can make ourselves sick with stress which is good for nobody.

Today, I'd like to invite you to turn your TV set off and open your mind to new possibilities as you read this... would you?

Let's start by acknowledging that the news is pretty drastic;however, any news can be seen from two different perspectives. Or like I say, every story is like a coin. It has two sides. The History of Texas can be seen as a simple example.

The Mexicans alleged that the Americans stole this piece of landfrom them; while the Americans claimed that the land was sold tothem by Mexican President Santana. I wonder how this news would have been given in Mexico and in Texas if TV sets had been available back then!

Everybody has a story! Are you following me?

Now let's come back to the subject at hand. Every day, the newsfeed us with information that recession is "bad" and that the consequences are going to hurt us even worse. If we fall for the news, we are going to live in stress and despair for quite some time. In other words, we would be considering just one side of the coin.

As a side note, let's remember the main theme of this website... what are we attracting to our experience when we let stressful news guide our thoughts and feelings?

The truth is that for some, recession can be fantastic news. What would you say if you knew that there are ways to not only survive the recession but to take this opportunity to get ahead in life? Would you believe it?

I hope you do. If you are sick and tired of counting your pennies, and are looking for a way to be free of the constant fear of pink slips, market ups and downs, undervalued retirement plans, foreclosures, higher food prices and the like... how would you like just for once to be the one sitting back and making a profit instead of the one worrying about whether this will be the week your business (or the company you work for) is going to have to close its doors?

If you nodded yes, I've got great news for you!

The "Recession Survival Guide" will provide you with the knowledge to make the best out of difficult times.

Here are some of the concepts you will learn...

    Wishing You Abundance,
    Tamara
