The Ups And Downs Of Life

I have found that the premise that says happiness is a state of mind is 100% true. At least it has been like that for me. Think about this: Every human experience has ups and downs, and if we are honest with ourselves, we'll admit that nothing stays forever.
Truth is, no matter what the problem is or how huge it may be, it will eventually resolve itself one way or another. When I became aware of this fact, all of a sudden life seemed lighter and I felt happier on a more regular basis. In the presence of a problem I don't tense up and worry anymore. I just let go and allow myself to go with the flow...
My mom used to say... if the problem has a solution, why worry. And if the problem doesn't have a solution, why worry. If we think about it, this is the best way to maintain a happy state, at least most of the time.
The results for me have been amazing. Just 'knowing' that the problem will eventually resolve itself, allows for inner peace and happiness to emerge. No more headaches or nights without sleep for me. My emotional and physical health have improved a lot. And it is all within our reach.
I have the power and free will to decide how to perceive my life experiences. When I decide to see them as temporary situations I become happier as I live.
I know that if I can do this, anybody can. It is a state of mind as they say.
